Extra Freezer Space Anyone In The Charleston Area?

The need is beginning to arise for more space to store Jude's future nutrition.  He cannot have breast milk yet, but it will be a huge asset to his healing in the future.  If you live in the Charleston area and have extra space in your freezer please contact Rose and Brian at just.enough.for.the.journey@gmail.com

Ways to Help out the Morrison's while they stay in Charleston

Many of you have asked how you can help out the Morrison family as they continue to live away from home in the Charleston area.  As you can imagine the day to day expenses of going back and forth to the hospital seem minimal at first but add up over time  Brian will also begin having to travel to and from home twice a week very soon and in a short while he will be missing time at work without pay, not to mention the cost of care for Jude.  If God has place on your heart a desire to help the Morrison family, then second to their desire of prayer for Jude would be financial need.  Gift cards to help cover meals, gas and medical bills would be a great blessing.  Any such gifts should be sent to:
1469 Barbara Street
Mount Pleasant, SC
29464

Or to:
926 F N.E. Main Street
PMB #206
Simpsonville, SC 29681

Online Shower - Coming Soon!

Just a quick reminder for those of you that would like to participate in the online shower that the shower will take place on Saturday, November 19th.

Details can be found on the September 6th post.

God's Amazing Provision

We just wanted to take a little time and tell you of God's amazing provisions.  The Morrisons now have a place to stay in Charleston provided for by Cross Bridge Family Ministry.  They also have foster homes for both of their dogs.  In addition they have been continually showered with food and love by so many of you.  Also they have been provided a GPS, a small laptop and now someone is working to gift them with Internet service so that they can communicate while they are separated.  The cards and letters are an ongoing example of how God is caring for them through the hands of those who love them.

Additionally there is a group of lovely ladies that have agreed to help to transport Annabelle to and from Charleston so that she can see her mommy and daddy from time to time.  We have given them the name of Annabelle's Angels and truly see them as such.

It has also been incredible to see how God is providing spiritually as He holds them close during this difficult time.  So many friends will be close by MUSC - some of them even professionally affiliated.  The greatest blessing has been that of the comfort through the amazing love letters that Christ has sent to encourage them through his word day by day.

Thank you for being Christ to Rose, Brian and Annabelle!

Freezer Space Needed

Rose and Brian had a very informative trip to Charleston this week.  The decision is made.  Jude will be delivered in Charleston.  They have also discovered over the past few months that there will most likely have a great need for freezer storage space for mother's milk - both in Charleston and then again when they return home to Simpsonville.  If any of you have room in your freezers that and would be willing to help with this need please contact Rose or Brian at
just.enough.for.the.journey@gmail.com

Also please continue to pray for a home for Saucy.
The ideal home would be a single person who has a yard and is looking for a loyal friend and watch dog.

The Morrison’s Online Baby Shower November 19th 2011

Who is invited?
Anyone is invited to send gifts, cards, notes of encouragement, etc.
Only family and a very few close friends will be with Rose the day of the shower to open gifts.  However, we will take pictures and post them later for all to see.

What sort of gift is appropriate?
The needs are really quite huge, unusual and diverse.
In terms of baby needs, the nursing supplies are of course the first need.
Rose and Brian have also registered for baby items at:
Babies R Us
Diapers.com,
Buy Buy Baby

They would also welcome anything that would help with their stay near the hospital that they choose
Some alternate ideas would be:
Gift cards for: (Please indicate if you have special desire how this is to be used.)
Unanticipated baby supplies (Stores listed above)
General life expenses (Target, Wal-Mart, Visa etc.)
Medical expenses (Visa)
Restaurant gift cards (Chains or local near the hospital they choose)
Gas gift cards (that can be used in SC)

When will this take place?
The actual shower will be November 19th.  You are welcomed to send items any time.

Where do I send my gift?
Rose Morrison

PMB #206
Simpsonville, SC 29681

Why an online shower?
Because of the nature of Jude’s CDH and the many questions about his future, Rose is uncertain of how emotional she might be at a baby shower.  Many of you have expressed a desire to show your love and care and this is the best way that we could think of for you to do so.

And Why is the shower so late in the pregnancy?
We have come to realize that most gift receipts are only valid for 3 months.
Sadly, we have to allow for returns in the event that Jude’s time with us is short.

Early Needs

1– Saucy a special dog
Rose and Brian have located a temporary home for Winnie while they are on this journey.  Saucy still needs a place to stay.  This can be permanent or temporary.  Saucy is a great watch dog, very loyal and a lot of fun.  He would settle best in a setting with a comfortable yard, not an apartment or small area.  If anyone is interested in a great four legged friend please contact Rose or Brian at

2 – Communication
Due to the fact that Brian will have to commute between home and the hospital quite a bit, our happy couple will be separated a lot.  In addition Annabelle will most likely land in Florence where there is family to love on her.  What this leaves a great need for a means of communication.  If any of you have an old/extra laptop that could be used during this period of time so that Skype and email will be available at both ends of the road please email Rose and Brian at just.enough.for.the.journey.@gmail.com

3 – Mother’s Milk
Like most babies, one of the things that we know that Jude will need almost immediately is his mother’s milk.  Most likely he will not able to suck.  He may receive his nutrition through a feeding tube and his mother’s milk will be the food of choice.  It is full of nutrients and antibodies that a little baby boy will need to best grow and heal.  Milk will have to be pumped, stored and transported – tons of it!  Therefore the one of the first needs that Rose and Brian will have are supplies that will aid in this.  Bottles, bottle storage and cleaning equipment, milk storage containers, a breast pump, nursing modesty covers and so on.  Rose and Brian are registered at Babies R Us, Buy Buy Baby and diapers.com

Online Shower– there will be an Online Shower for Rose and Brian for baby Jude sometime in November.
More information to come soon!

Manna

Throughout history there have been times when God's people, full of faith, have stepped out not knowing how, but knowing He would indeed provide for their basic needs. When the Israelites left Egypt God provided them with manna, which rained down from heaven. It was said to be sweet like honey. This manna sustained them through years on a path unknown.

The Morrison family has started a journey down just such a path. There dependance on the Lord their God will without a doubt be their sustenance for the journey. Many of you however have asked if there are ways that you can, as parts of the whole body of Christ, add your blessing to this manna and help provide for the journey ahead. In the post to come you will find many such opportunities. We humbly thank you in advance for your loving care for this precious family. It is indeed 'sweet like honey' to the soul.
